Within a politics aiming at reducing poverty and promoting country opening-up, the Government of the Republic of Chad benefitted from a financing of the oil fund for the construction of the Kelo-Lai road.
The project envisages interventions, both under the technical and economic point of view, necessary to the rehabilitation of the route, thus guaranteeing the use of the road during all seasons and adapting it to new traffic needs.
In particular, besides guaranteeing the road holding related to traffic development during 15-20 years, of structures (surface load of 25 T), the study must guarantee vehicle and passengers security through a thorough analysis of the layout from a plano-altimetric point of view, thus granting the transit on the envisaged route during the whole year.
