Project Description

Main scope of the project is to create an asphalt direct road link between the main rural and economic region of Chad and the railway station of Ngaoundéré, allowing to access the Douala harbor. The current way via Figuil and Lere has a total length of 732 km, while with the new road Ngaoundéré will be at only 394 km from Moundou (383 km to build for reaching RN1 at Malang, 11 km northward of Ngaoundéré).

The project maintains more than 80% of the existing layout in order to limit the environmental impact. This layout includes existing cotton roads both in Chad and Cameroon.
