The project looks at the technical, economic, financial, environmental and social impact studies of the 132 km TIGNERE-KONTCHA- NIGERIA BORDER road.
The objective of the project is the rehabilitation of 132 km of the road between Tignère-Kontcha and the Nigeria border as part of Phase III of the Transport Sector Support Program.
The project will be developed in two phases:
Phase I: Preliminary studies, preliminary draft summary (APS) and environmental and social impact studies
Phase II: Detailed Design (APD), and Preparation of Tender documents
The studies will follow Cameroonian national standards, French standards, Eurocodes.
Road project geometry:
- Total road length: 132 km
- Carriageway width: 7 m
- Shoulders width: 10 m
Road quantities:
- Earthworks (fill/cut): 1 800 000 /600 000 m3
- Sub-base: 320 000 m3
- Base course: 260 000 m3
- Wearing course (type, thickness): (AC/ 5 cm) 70 000 m3
Structures:
- Culverts (box/pipe): box culverts 1200 m
- Bridges (number/length): 12/400 m
