Project Description

The works concern the construction of a reinforced concrete bridge crossing the Chari river in Hellibongo. Its length is 281 m (14 spans of 20 m each).

Substructure : 2 abutments and 13 piers:

-           foundations on reinforced concrete perforated piers of 1200 mm of diameter and length between 24 and 27 m for a total of 94 piers ; 6 piers per pile and 8 per abutment (2 x 8 + 6 x 13) ;

-           bedplates : 6.00x9.60 x1,60 m of thickness

-           piles realized with 3 circular reinforced concrete columns of 1200 mm of diameter and variable height between 3.70 and 8.70 m

-           main beam : 1.60x9.30x1.00m of thickness

Deck superstructure :

-           ten reinforced concrete beams 1,00 m high and with a thickness of 32 cm per prebuilt beam;

-           slab of 18 cm of thickness and casted on prestressed floor support slab of 5 cm of thickness.

Complementary works and drainage works carried out along the access Sarh side :

-           one multiple box culvert with 7 frames of 8.20x9 m of height for a total length of 65.50m ;

-           2 double box culverts 2x5.00x7,11m of height ;

-           1 quadruple box culvert 4x5.00x7.11m of height.

Services Description

 Check and evaluation of the works; Final design and quantity analysis to be implemented ; Review of Enterprises proposals (site organization and work schedule, site infrastructure) and of possible variants proposed during tender procedure; Analysis of unit prices, their breakdown in categories; Quality control procedures applied by the Enterprise to its works and to the sub-consultants work; Analysis of the formula allowing to calculate possible price adjustment ; Analysis and review of final execution drawings ; Technical and topographic inspection of locations; Economic and financial control according to works progress; Administrative personnel training for maintenance and rehabilitation roads and structures works.
