Project Description

The reconstruction of priority road network is a primary objective for the country and the reconstruction of the RN1, which is the backbone of Congolese road network, fits perfectly with this approach.

The study concerns the Kinkala-Mindouli road, a section of 60 km of the RN1.

Its origin is located at the Gambari crossroads, that is the northern exit of the city of Kinkala, and the other end is located on the western outskirts of Mindouli, crossroads for Pointe Noire and Kindamba (north).

The previous section of 60 km Brazzaville Kinkala has been carried out in 2008/2009, financed by the European Fund.

The project road will essentially aim at : linking Brazzaville to Pointe Noire, 540 km, to open up the capital to the sea by a land transport system; making agricultural products coming from the Pool region reach the capital, here it is to be highlighted that 70% of the Congolese population lives and cultivates this region which represents the granary of the country.

Services Description

The study is divided into two phases for the preparation of a preliminary design, Phase 1, which concerns the updating of the existing pre-feasibility study and the analysis of the proposed options with the choice of the optimal solution to be submitted at the approval of the competent authorities; and a second phase, phase 2, on the development of the detailed engineering study of the final solution.

Phase 2 also includes the preparation of Tender Dossier for works and for the Control and supervision of works.
