Development study of the Tshikapa-Mungamba-Kamako and Tshikapa-Mungamba-Kandjaji-Angola border on a length of 219 km

The final specific objective of the project is to establish the preliminary design, the ESIA and the tender dossier for the asphalting of the most profitable road link between Tshikapa and the border with Angola.
To do this, it will be necessary to go through a technical, environmental and economic feasibility study to identify the route corresponding to the requirements. The basic corridors established by the Customer are as follows:
- corridor Tshikapa – Mungamba – Muandomba – Kandjaji (117 km) ;
- corridor Tshikapa - Mungamba – Kamonia – Kamako (110 Km).
The first part of the two corridors (Tshikapa - Mungamba), 48 km in length, is common. Therefore the approximate overall linear is approximately 219 km.
The Tshikapa - Kandjaji link is identified in the road network of the DRC being classified RP706. The Mungamba - Kamonia - Kamako link does not correspond to any classification in the road network of the DRC. It presents some physical obstacles, in particular, the crossing of several rivers of which the most important is the crossing of the Luanga-Tshimo river which is currently carried out using a ferry.

D2 PHASE 1 - Technical, economic and environmental feasibility study report (documentary research, environmental analysis and optimization of the existing layout, public consultations, reconnaissance of the hydrographic network and structures, geotechnical reconnaissance, laboratory tests, study of transport demand and traffic, counting & O / D campaign, preparation of the road plan, pre-dimensioning of pavement and structures, comparative study of bridge options, definition of road development options and standard plans, estimation of the costs of the works and investment costs by development option, comparative economic evaluation of development options, HDM-4 analysis).
D3 PHASE 2 - Technical study report and preliminary design details (polygonal topographic campaign & boundary, location & survey, identification of details of related infrastructure and rehabilitation needs, geotechnical study, laboratory tests, seismic campaign, additional surveys, geometrization of the route & road safety, hydraulic study, sizing of hydraulic structures, structural calculation, design and sizing study of the pavement, determination of related infrastructure rehabilitation works, establishment of APD deliverables: drawing up of plans, technical reports, calculation note, before -meters, recognition of socio-environmental conditions, organization of maintenance and consultations, establishment of the ESIA).
D4 PHASE 3 - Tender Dossier and Confidential Dossier (breakdown of the file of plans and bill of quantities according to allotment, price study and establishment of the confidential estimate, preparation of the Tender Dossier, development of the confidential File : Confidential Estimate and Summary report).
